Building Location:Building F - Duluth Clinic - 3rd StreetDepartment:11360 NeurosurgeryJob Description:Education Qualifications:Licensure/Certification Qualifications:NP/PA – Neurosurgery – Duluth, MNDuluth Clinic 3rd Street & St. Mary's Medical Center PRACTICE SPECIFICS:Utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge and decision-making skills, the Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant works independently and in collaboration with Physicians and other health care professionals (3 Physicians, 6 APP's and 9 additional staff members). Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.Our Neurosurgery department provides a collegial working environment to ensure our patients receive the best possible care. We strive for a positive working environment with providers and staff with our "patient first attitude". Physicians in this department are very approachable and work well together. This is a robust, full service neurosurgical practice with a team based approach to patient care. Estimated Patients Seen per day: 12-14Estimated Procedures per day: 0Base Schedule: Monday - Thursday or Monday - Friday 0700 - 1600 plus shared call/weekends/holidaysCall Ratio/Schedule Details: Days with variable 24-hour call responsibility - alternating Hospital Floor Call (approximately 5 days per month). Clinic Work: 70% - Clinic Practice will have collaborative appointments with physicians, an independent schedule of patients. Schedule will include surgical consults, non-surgical consults, post-op follow up, and non-surgical trauma patients.Hospital Work: 30% Ideal Candidate Must have ability to work independentlyClinical and Surgical experience highly desiredEDUCATION:Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area.
