Basic Job Functions: Schedule and dispatch loads to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or business needsAllocate loads to carriers, assuring a successful tendering process.Work with Customer Service, Production and Warehouse teams to maintain an up-to-date, accurate and balanced shipping schedule.Ensure that all shipping documents are current and comply with all Federal and Company requirements.Reconcile production and shipping records to ensure complete shipment of materials.Maintain up-to-date records for ShippingParticipate, as needed, with freight rate negotiations and Maintain Relationships with CarriersAll other duties, as assigned.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: Shipping/Dispatching experience preferredSupervisor and/or manager recommendationMicrosoft Excel experience and Basic Computer skillsPreferred Qualifications: High school Diploma or GEDMust know basic mathMust be able to read and write basic EnglishExperience with D365 ERP system and TMS system
