NTT Faculty Position Biochemistry Educator/Scholar Department of Biomedical Education and Data Science Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University Philadelphia, Pennsylvania www.temple.edu/medicine The Position: The Department of Biomedical Education and Data Science at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia is accepting applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Biochemistry Faculty opportunity. The Department is currently made up of 24 exceptional faculty members who are responsible for teaching professional level courses in three different colleges – the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Podiatric Medicine. In addition, the faculty serve the post-baccalaureate pre-medical and health professions programs at the School of Medicine and the College of Science and Technology. The department has a strong teaching program and faculty members play a major role as educators and directors of multiple foundational and medical educational courses in the curricula of these schools while providing curriculum content expertise to these programs. The candidate should have experience providing students with a sound conceptual framework in biochemical principles and be committed to creating a welcoming learning environment that fosters deep thinking and self-directed inquiry. Given the medical/healthcare courses are integrated with multiple disciplines and utilize didactic and active learning approaches, candidates with a background and/or interest in collaborative teaching, use of diverse pedagogies, and/or case-based learning are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: Terminal doctoral degree (Ph.D., D.O., M.D. or equivalent) is required Candidates with training in and/or experience teaching one or more of the following biochemical disciplines: Bioenergetics, Protein Structure and Function, Enzymes, Metabolism of Carbohydrates, Fats and Proteins, Integration of metabolism, Steroid Metabolism, are preferred and encouraged to apply.
