Position Overview:
ANSER is actively hiring for a Nuclear Forensics Analyst. In this role you will provide support to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Nuclear Matters (NM).
Day to Day Responsibilities: Support the development of new concepts of operation (CONOPs) for the National Technical Nuclear Forensics (NTNF) Ground Collection Task Force (GCTF) mission both domestic and international.Support the government as they provide policy, oversight, and guidance of DoD NTNF exercises spanning collection, analysis, and evaluation of nuclear forensics evidentiary samples.Interact with interagency, in particular the Department of Energy, Department of State, the FBI, and the Intelligence Community to facilitate integration of DoD's capabilities into a coherent US government capability that spans all elements of the NTNF attribution communities.Engage across the Department of Defense service components and Combatant Commands to support NTNF mission execution.Review documents, contribute to studies or task forces, prepare papers and briefings, attend/participate in meetings within/across the Department, across the interagency and other branches of government and/or with academia and industry.Prepare and disseminate agenda, meeting materials and meeting summaries. Reserve meeting space, ensure attendee access, and other administrative aspects.Required Qualifications: Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.Bachelor's degree and seven years direct experience related to nuclear forensics or CBRN technical expertise. Additional work experience may be considered as a substitute for the requisite degree.Experience with DoD exercises.Experience with the development of DoD Concepts of Operation.Experience staffing or advising DoD senior leaders on matters of national security.Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in a related discipline.Direct in-depth knowledge and experience with NTNF GCTF and CBRN operations, organization, functions, and planning with Interagency partners and at the COCOM level.Experience engaging with international partners and agencies, including negotiations.
