We are seeking a NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST in Portage, Wisconsin to work at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital.
Hours: Full-time/80 hours each pay period. Varied shifts.
General Responsibilities: Coordinate and participate in a variety of technical procedures to include in vivo and in vitro studies; operate radiation detection and measurement instrumentation including stationary imaging devices, scintillation gamma and apparatus for in vitro counting.Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction. Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay.Prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing and disposal activities. Maintain records of order, receipt, and disposal of all radioactive material in the department. Monitor Nuclear Medicine Department with portable Geiger counter for possible contamination.Assume care for physical and psychological needs of patients of all ages during an examination, initiates life support measures for patients, if necessary.Experience/Qualifications/Licensure: Completion of associate's or bachelor's degree from a formal Nuclear Medicine Technology program.Board Certified by the NMTCB or ARRT.Basic Life Support (BLS).Employee Benefits: Full benefits packages available for part- and full-time status.PTO accrual from day one!Generous retirement plan with match available.Wellness program for employees and their families.Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital & Clinics has been dedicated to providing the highest level of care to Portage and the surrounding communities for over 100 years.
