This includes relaying instructions to patients, following procedure protocols, injecting radioactive isotopes, acquiring images, processing images, reviewing images for accuracy, and ensuring image quality by performing equipment QA.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degreeSuccessful completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine ProgramCertified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)New graduate, up to one year of experienceMust obtain Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License prior to start dateCT Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or NMTCB must be obtained within 12 months of hire.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine1 year of Nuclear Medicine ExperienceResponsibilities: Interacts with patients and family members throughout the procedure and treatment process.Enters patient information into database and uses digital ordering system to order isotopes for procedures.Communicates with patients, coworkers and physicians through written and verbal communication.Participates in continuing education programs and completes trainings for new procedures as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience
