Nurse Manager – Operating Room Location: San Jose, CA Schedule:Monday -Friday, 8am-5pm Job Summary:
Oversees 24-hour patient care departments to ensure high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care. Develops and maintains clinical care standards, manages budgets, and ensures regulatory compliance. Leads staff hiring, development, and resolves HR, safety, and risk issues. Key Responsibilities: Manages operations of 24-hour departments, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Establishes patient care/service standards. Designs and evaluates processes for improved care outcomes. Develops and monitors budgets; identifies cost-saving strategies. Screens, hires, trains, and ensures staff competency and development. Oversees standards of care, fiscal management, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Experience:Must have experience in the last 5 years as an OR RN (must have inpatient OR experience, not just ambulatory surgery) Must have 3-5 years as an Assistant Nurse Manager or four years exp as Dept. manager. Education:BSN or MSN from an accredited program. Licensure/Certifications:Active CA RN license, Preferred:CNOR designation, advanced degree (MSN/MHA/MBA), experience in a union environment.
