Nurse Manager - Operating Room

Manages 24-hour departments providing patient care services. Ensures staff provide high quality, accessible, cost-effective care, and patient-focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. Develops and maintains clinical standards of care and practice; responsible for all resource budgeting, selection, and development.
Must Have: BSNExperience in Operating Room nursingCharge Nurse or ANM experienceThere are 13 OR RNs, approximately 47 direct reports, and an average of 1,100 cases/month. Surgery types include general, ENT, GYN, robotic, bariatric, plastic & reconstructive, ortho, joints, sports medicine, and gender re-assignment. No spine, hearts, or neuro cases performed at this location.
Required (non-negotiable): At minimum, candidate needs to have 5 years of FT equivalent OR RN experience. No ambulatory surgery center experience will be accepted. Experience must be current or very recent.At minimum, candidate needs to have 3 years of FT equivalent OR Manager or Supervisor experience. Charge Nurse experience doesn't meet this requirement. Minimal ambulatory surgery center experience may be accepted. Experience must be current or very recent.Preferred: MSNCNORManagement experience in a union environment
