Responsibilities Assess clients' condition during every visit and track any observations Take and record measurements of vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
Administer medication as prescribed by the client's physician Dress or redress open wounds and assess the progress of healing Continuously educate clients, their families, and other caretakers on proper home healthcare strategies and procedures Provide palliative care as needed to keep the client comfortable Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the client's quality of life Listen to clients and be prepared to respond to concerns or requests Qualifications Current nursing license in the state Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification Access to reliable transportation Ability to work independently and with directions Compassionate and friendly demeanor Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word to document and track client care activity
