Overview:
JOB SUMMARY The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical oversight for the patients within the Observation Unit under the direction of the Attending Physician for the case.
Age specific care will be provided to a population that includes adults and geriatric patients.
The NP will report to the Medical Director of Medical Affairs.
The NP will maintain the scope of practice consistent with the policies, procedures of San Antonio Regional Hospital as well as the regulatory guidelines and laws defined by the California Board of Registered Nurses and the California Medical Board, as well as any other federal and state regulatory agencies. Every other weekend committment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited NP program.
Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred. Experience: At least 3 years experience working in a Hospital setting preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Able to manage/prioritize/complete multiple assignments and other duties as assigned to meet deadlines.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
License/Certifications: RN license with CA BRN; Advanced Practice - Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner license.
American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS & BLS is required. Equipment: Equipment appropriate to specialty area.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements. PAY RANGE $64.41 - $96.61 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.
Salary offers are determined by candidates relevant experience and skills.
For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidates individual experience.
