Join us!FTE: 0.900000Shift: NightsLocation: RIVERSIDE MEDICAL CENTERSummary:The Ortho/Neuro Medical CNA is an individual who assists with routine care of patients ranging from infancy to geriatric and the maintenance of the unit under the direction of the professional nurse.Experience/Education Requirements: Completion of certified nurse aid course.License or Certification Requirements:CNA certificate registered with the State of Illinois.CPR certification requiredResponsibilities:Ability to follow and maintain isolation procedures, especially chemo precautions.Ability to place and maintain CPM's on patients.Ability to reinforce total joint precautions.Ability to turn patients from side to side, transferring, and therapeutically and ambulating safely.Administers enemas.Answer call lights in a timely and courteous manner.Assist patients with all aspects of ADL's and reinforce patient's exercises.Complete intershift reporting.Document chartable activities in computer.Feed patients and give them between meal fluids and nourishments.Pass meal trays and fresh water.Keeps patients' bedside and overhead tables clean and within reach of patients.Makes sure nametags are above each patient bed and wristbands are on each patient.Obtain and record patient weights: standing, bedscale, and wheelchairProvide skin care.Reports changes in patients' condition to the professional nurse.Restock supplies in patients' rooms.
