Must meet ONE of the following requirements:
6 months of nursing assistant experienceCompletion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registryThis position MUST be able to work the following:
72 hours every two weeksEvery Other Weekend8 Hour ShiftsEvening Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PMAs a Nursing Assistant, you are responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to:
Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needsProviding comfort care and other assistanceAppropriately and safely transferring patientsTaking vital signs and completing recordkeepingRecognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RNMaintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
•Maintains current NAR (Nursing Assistant Registered) (for employees hired after November 2001)
•Completes Therapeutic Intervention (TI) training within six (6) months of hire if no previous TI or has not had a TI training/refresher within past three calendar years.
•Must complete and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first 30 days of hire or transfer

Compensation Range: $17.84 - $22.19 / hour
