Responsible for providing professional clinical assistance to patients within the clinic in support of the physicians.
Working directly with the physicians, is the liaison between the patient and the physicians for establishing and maintaining quality patient care.
Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with clinic protocols and procedures.JOB RELATIONSHIPSReporting directly to the Practice Manager for administrative issues and to the Medical Director for clinical issues.AUTHORITY and ACCESS TO SERVICES:Supervises the following staff, by job category:License Practical NurseMedical AssistantsMust be able to collaborate with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team.Has the authority and responsibility to provide and/or direct the delivery of patient care services in collaboration with physicians and in accordance with established protocols and procedures.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS'Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards.
'Utilizes clinical teamwork to oversee the interdisciplinary plan of care:Assesses the patient and family as appropriatePlans and implements clinical care and facilitates its delivery to patients and family membersEvaluates the process and outcome of clinical services in the clinic and makes suggestions for improvementDocuments according to clinic policies Practices and promotes professional clinical care within legal and ethical standardsProvides education/consultation as needed to other health care team members and to patients and familiesAssumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through identification of own learning needsEncourages an environment of teamwork with other employees.

Assists with recruiting efforts for new clinical staff.
Assists with evaluating clinical staff performance and completion of performance evaluationsAssists with development and implementation of policies and proceduresResponsible for maintaining adequate medical supply inventory.
Assists in placing orders for medical supplies as necessaryAs a member of clinic management, ensures that the clinic meets all code and accreditation standards (OSHA,DPH,JCAHO,CLIA,HIPAREPORTING REQUIREMENTSReports all changes in patient status to appropriate interdisciplinary team member either verbally or in writingReports immediately to the Practice Manager any deviation of normal operationsReports immediately to the Practice Manager situations that require attentionACOUNTABILITYShall be accountable for maintaining the confidentiality of all CPN and patient related information.
