Come grow with us!General Purpose and Scope of Position:***This is a night shift position working 5 days per week 10-hour shifts (6:00 pm to 4:00 am)***The primary role of the Night Shift Production Supervisor:Daily supervision of all facility operations personnel, including planning and scheduling of work for all operators, assigning work tasks, and managing employees' vacation and overtime. Providing daily leadership through example, focusing on timely communication, objective feedback, clear work instructions, and coaching for continuous improvement. Coordinating manpower with the production schedule to ensure that training, goals, safety training, and cross-training needs are met.Key Skills and Abilities Include:Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience requiredWillingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift, extruder, grinder, mixer, pellet machine, and other equipment as requiredExperience operating an extruder is a plusMust be able to regularly lift to 50 lbs., occasionally lift to 80 lbs.Manual dexterity - must be able to be on your feet for long periods and must be able to work in a production environmentAble to follow written and verbal directions and complete necessary documentationThe ability to read and write English is required, and the ability to speak Spanish is a plusWillingness to work overtime hoursKey Personal Attributes Include:Driven; self-motivatedCustomer-focusedTeam playerStrong sense of integrity and accountabilityOrganizedPunctuality & AttendanceSafety-focused Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Organize work of the lines and production for daily production based on the Plant Operations Manager's directionSet up line according to a scheduled production jobInspect all materials for cleanliness and integrity. Report any issues before processingBlend materials in the assigned mixer according to the workflowDocumentation as required in all aspects of job dutiesWork directly with Plant Operator Leads to guarantee the production, safety, and quality goals of each shift to fulfill company and customer needsLearn and train all roles required at the plant (mixing, bagging, forklift, control room, extruder, etc.)Operate processing equipment as outlined in SOPsMaintain facility cleanliness throughout all operationsPerform Quality Control while handling productsAccurately document tasks performed (processing, maintenance, cleaning, etc.)Responsible for reporting safety/food safety problems to management, up to and including stopping a production lineMaintain all current trainingComply with all Food Safety Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, FDA and OSHA guidelines, as well as Federal and State laws governing the workplaceAble to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlookPerform any other duties as assigned by management professionally and efficientlyCompensation and Benefits:Compensation and Benefits:In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $61,300 - $81,710. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
