Calumet Plant O&M Technician Daily duties
Normal working hours Monday through Friday 6am -2pm, On call technician 6am-4pm. Availability for off hours plant run schedule.
The on-call availability consists of 2 technicians on call per week (Monday through Sunday). Both on call technicians get 4.5 hours of on call pay per week, and OT for time spent after hours.
First on call technician hours M-F 7 am – 3 pm, and is designated as CRO
Second on call technician hours M-F 6am – 2 pm and is designated as backup technician.
 
Daily plant status reporting on the Vistra PJM region morning call. This duty is rotated on a weekly basis to the on-call technician of that week.
Operate 2 Siemens V84.3A.2 simple cycle gas turbines with TXP control systems.
General housekeeping, trash removal, sweeping, cleaning, etc.
Minor inspections - security or environmental
Conduct offline operator rounds on plant equipment.
Assisting other operators with more complex activities.
Perform preventive maintenance/corrective maintenance as assigned.
Equipment inspections
Greasing
Filter replacements, lube oil and hydraulic oil
Glycol system maintenance, belt tensioning, fluid additions
