Join our team as an OB Surgical Tech!
As an OB Surgical Tech you will:
Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit.
Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice.
Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures.
Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit.
Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment.
Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned.
Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
Previous Scrub experience required
Day to Day:
Primary Duties will be;
Scrubbing on C-Sections (emergent/ Scheduled), D&C's, emergency hysterectomies, and assisting w/vaginal deliveries.
Providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed.
Maintaining Sterile field during procedures.
Functioning in a secretarial role when there isn't coverage.
Assisting with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.
Answering call lights and doors, making charts, patient check in and rooming, arriving/discharging patients in EPIC.
15 LDRP Beds, 3 Triage Rooms, 2 OR Suites, 5 NICU Rooms
80-120 births per month
Schedule-24hr/week- Nights- Variable Shift times per surgical Volume and current unit needs.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
One-year patient care experience preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic computer skills
High School graduate or GED
Completion of a Surgical Tech program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in Colorado
Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Physical Requirements Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Built on the pillars of convenience, wellness and person-centered care, we offer inpatient and outpatient care at one site, with an emphasis on preventive health, wellness and health education.
The surgery department at St. Anthony North Health Campus Hospital consists of 8 OR rooms, 1 cysto room, 1 minor procedure room, a GI room, and a room for pain management.
We are an ortho heavy department - fracture management, total hips, knees, and shoulders, and the ortho service continues to grow.
We also perform general, ENT, GYN, urology, spine and plastics.
The patient mix is comprised mainly of adult surgical patients.
Patient care is provided for adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients.
Our mission is to provide safe care to the surgical patient.
