Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to join the core faculty of our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program. The program, primarily located and based at the Willowbrook campus, has five residents per year for a total of 20. Texas A&M Medical Students also rotate and participate in our resident training and education activities. Qualifications Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.Prior administrative and academic preceptorship experience in graduate medical education strongly preferred.Responsibilities Active leadership, engagement, and oversight of the daily clinical needs for Obstetrics and Gynecology patients.The position will be a mix of direct patient care, teaching/supervision of the OBGYN residents, & administrative duties.Serve as attending/faculty physicians in the residency continuity clinic supervising residents.Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.Regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, rounds, including journal clubs and conferences.Participate in scholarly activity and quality improvement projects with the residents.Night and weekend calls are shared with the other HMPO OB/GYN Residency Faculty physicians and a local private practice OBGYN. A minimum of one 14-hour weekday and one 24-hour weekend call period is required each month.
