Porter Medical Center is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) located in scenic Middlebury, Vermont and is a partner in the UVM Health Network. Porter is also proud to have a Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, a 105-bed facility with a memory care unit, long term care unit and an acute rehabilitation unit. Porter also has a network of outpatient medical practices that range from primary care to specialized health care services. Role Overview: Provide full scope obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages.Closely collaborate with certified nurse midwives and nurse practitioners.OB/GYN call pool is 1:4. Call is primarily back up to certified nurse midwives who take first call.Outreach outpatient GYN clinic in Ticonderoga, NY approximately once per month.Who We Seek: Medical DegreeBoard Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or board eligible.Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to forge strong and respectful relationships across the health network.Great emphasis on teamwork and collegiality with all members of the care team.Position Details: 0.75 FTE3 days a week with a mix of seeing patients in outpatient practice and OR time. 1:4 call rotation.Why Join Us: Join our amazing team of 3 OB/GYN physicians, 1 OB Family Medicine physician, 4 Certified Nurse Midwives and Nurse Practitioner.Employed position with a full UVMHN benefit package.Located 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center with efficient EMS protocols for rapid patient transfer.Behavioral health embedded in outpatient practice.Porter Medical Center is located adjacent to the Middlebury College campus, offering a diversity of cultural and recreational activities.
