The Specialist, Nursing, working under the general direction of a Physician, is responsible for the administration of treatments and care for the sick and the infirm and assisting with related issues, including assisting physicians in administering treatments, performing physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and screenings, counseling and educating patients regarding treatment regimens, and other basic medical care functions, with diligence and consistency in a timely manner. This role implements company policies and procedures related to the administration of occupational health. Additionally, the role will also be responsible for staying updated on trends and industry practices within the nursing domain, collaborating with teams to implement training programs, and ensuring compliance with policies. The role would also maintain accurate and confidential medical data including employee health records, medical leave of absence, etc. to prepare reports and presentations in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

What you'll do...
Coordinates with multiple stakeholders for providing health services and programs to the company employees in offices/plant locations, with diligence and consistency in a timely manner in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Coordinates with other healthcare providers and other teams to ensure effective patient care and management. Participates in case management meetings to reduce the impact of absenteeism related to occupational or non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Implements company policies, protocols, and procedures for nursing tasks associated with medical screenings and tests, such as pre-employment medical examinations, fitness-for-duty tests, return-to-work assessments, or specific health assessments required for certain job roles in compliance with laws and regulations.
Educates patients at the company's medical facilities on the importance of adherence to prescribed medications, training on wound care techniques, pain management strategies, preparing patients for safe discharge, etc. with the objective of providing patient-centered care with empathy, kindness, and professionalism.
Participates in the delivery of nursing initiatives such as patient experience enhancement, infection control measures, nursing workflow optimization, etc. by representing the team as the prime contact, coordinating with senior clinical professionals, integrating data and information from multiple sources to identify trends, and evaluating multiple tangible and intangible variables to develop strategies to improve the quality of patient care.
Delivers health-specific communications related to the Nursing function including health screenings and check-up reminders, medication compliance reminders, information on health screenings results, rehabilitation programs information for employees recovering from injuries, etc. as per established processes.
Implements company policies and procedures related to administering medications and managing medication protocols for employees who require regular treatment or have chronic health conditions and assisting employees with rehabilitation services after work-related injuries to facilitate a safe return to work consistently as per established guidelines. Assists the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures, providing necessary support.
Updates existing Nursing protocols and policies related to infection control, handling and storage of medications, patient confidentiality and privacy, etc. if necessary to ensure compliance and consistency with relevant laws and companywide policies. Maintains medical records within the scope of the assignment for compliance with regulatory requirements. Assists in conducting training and scheduled periodic site audits.
Demonstrates full knowledge of industry best practices and latest developments in nursing subjects such as patient assessment, evidence-based practices, patient education, nursing informatics, and other nursing theories and models along with a strong understanding and application of related concepts and principles. Provides teaching and guidance to junior members of the team.

Minimum 5 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree as a registered nurse performing physical examinations, providing acute care, and maintaining medical recordkeeping systems.
