Occupational Therapist

Scismic is supporting the growth of a private special education school in Rockville, MD that services students with language, learning, sensory motor disabilities, and autism that serves students in grades K - 12.
They are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join the team. They are open to candidates interested in a temporary role or a full 10-month (renewable) contract.


\n Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:Evaluate and provide individual and group therapy as well as classroom integrative services.Work closely with the educational team to provide comprehensive services to students on their caseload.Prepare accurate and timely documentation and report progress of students.Participate in school and departmental staff meetings. Use a variety of virtual programs and platforms to support students' learning during virtual learning. Experience and Skills:Masters from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.Certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association.Eligibility for Maryland licensure must be established prior to employment.Two to three years of pediatric and school experience is preferred.Assistive technology experience a plus.Ability to determine the need for an occupational therapy evaluation.Ability to develop occupationally based intervention plans.
