As the Stationary Engineer for Nature's Fynd, you will be a key member of the Maintenance Team, responsible for keeping our assets in good condition in order to allow us to meet our customer needs. The maintenance team will be working closely with operations and quality to ensure we work safely and make good quality product on time for our customers. This person will report directly to the Maintenance Manager, with a dotted line to the Operations Manager/Supervisors.
Duties & Responsibilities:Performing maintenance/repairs on equipment (especially utility and production equipment)Documenting work completed and parts that are used in our CMMSMaking sure to work safely and helping to develop/execute proper safety protocols (LOTO, Confined Space Entry, etc)Working closely with contractors and vendors when repairing/maintaining equipment, including reaching out for support if neededResponding and supporting operations calls to troubleshoot equipment issuesWorking with the Maintenance Manager to update PMs to better maintain our assetsAssisting in root cause analysis activities to identify ways to prevent re-occurrencesAny other work related items as assignedRequirements:Must have a City of Chicago Stationary Engineering LicenseWill have a flexible work week, based on operational needsWill be working on weekends and holidays (as needed)Be willing to work OT as needed to support operationsStrong mechanical acumen to do tasks such as rebuilding/replacing pumps and valves, changing belts and bearings, etc.Basic electrical skill set (such as able to use a meter and change a low voltage motor)Be able to lift 50 poundsBe able to climb up and down laddersBe able to work at heightsQualifications:Experience in a manufacturing environment preferredEmphasis on personal transparency and accountabilityComfortable working in a start-up environmentSound judgement when faced with uncertainty and ambiguitySelf-motivated by problem-solving and inherent curiosity to understand how things workPersonal Qualifications:Comfortable working in a startup environment, embrace entrepreneurship and have enthusiasm for innovationShows a sense of urgency when responding to operational issuesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently & with a teamAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across organizational functionsExhibit strong sense of professional and personal integrityInherent curiosity and creativity in solving problems to understand how things workAbility to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive informationVersatility, flexibility and willingness to work enthusiastically within changing priorities
