We have an immediate opening for a Office Assistant II.
SCOPE: Working under general supervision, supports the clinical activities of the practice by performing duties including, but not limited to, organizing and copying medical records, assisting with scheduling, answering phones, transporting patients and stocking clinic supplies.
Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Assists with answering phones, paging physicians and related switchboard duties.
- Assists with scheduling appointments and ancillary testing.
- Assembles, organizes and files patient medical charts as needed.
- Copies completed dictation, lab and test reports and distributes copies as needed.
- Copies, files and faxes clinic correspondence and information.
- Assists with charge entry as appropriate.
- Performs clinic support functions including stocking supplies, transporting patients, picking up lab/test results and X-Rays etc.
- Helps maintain a clean patient care environment.
- Greets patients and visitors and escorts them to exam room.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma or equivalent.
Requires three to five years office experience in a medical environment.
