The duration of this temporary role is approximately 6 months.
Reporting to the EVCP HR & Programs Manager and joining the EVCP Business Services HR Team, the EVCP Office Manager & HR Coordinator works in a busy, highly matrixed environment to coordinate and integrate all human resources activities for various units served by the Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost (EVCP) Business Services unit.
The incumbent also provides executive assistance and develops & administers systems for managing information, office operations, projects, and communications.
They also function with a high degree of autonomy, and skillfully assist with matters of a strategic and/or sensitive nature.
The incumbent uses professional operations and facilities management concepts, coordinates and provides operations and facilities services for EVCP units and staff.
This includes working on the 4-6 th floors in UCSF Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision at the Mission Bay Campus, the EVCP Office Suite & conference rooms at the Parnassus Campus, and/or the Environment, Health and Safety offices at both Mission Bay and Parnassus Campuses.
The incumbent applies organization policies and procedures to resolve routine issues or refers to appropriate service provider.
Follows standard departmental practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained; manages reception desk as needed in EVCP spaces; tracks space assignments and updates digital map; receives mail and packages; creates work orders and tracks repair services.
Coordinates bookings and use of video conferencing and other A/V equipment for EVCP conference rooms.
Provides technology support and training; troubleshoots problems with copiers and video conferencing equipment.
Plans and coordinates in-house moves and new furniture installations.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
