In the role of Office Lead/Principal, we'll count on you to:
Take responsibility for leading, management, profitability and direction of a department or business unitLead development, implementation and monitoring of office operating plan and budgetActively participate in development and implementation of the strategic plan for department development and growth in cooperation with business groups, marketing and operational managementManage activities of personnel within a department to provide high-quality services and to achieve or exceed plan resultsEstablish and monitor department procedures, processes and adherence to corporate and company policies, project contractual terms, and quality control proceduresProvide overall department leadership in cooperation with the department management team and Project ManagersWork cooperatively with and inform regional and area operations managers, business group directors and marketing managers in client development, marketing, key staffing needs and conduct of servicesMonitor department business indicators and plans, and take actions necessary to meet operational goalsOversee hiring, performance evaluation, staff development, training and recognitionManage project staffing and workload balancingMaintain key client relationships and occasionally serve as Project Principal or Project ManagerCommunicate, implement, monitor and enforce company policies within the departmentParticipate in department quality assurance of project quality control procedures, risk management reviews, business reviews and disputes resolution activitiesProvide signatory authority for the departmentServe as a company representative in business and the communityPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications: 10 or more years of experienceLocal candidate preferredRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related fieldMaintains a professional Engineering or Architecture registration and has extensive related technical management experienceOutstanding leadership, communication and team-building skillsExperienced in management and development of diverse teamsWork cooperatively with company operations managers, business group and technical directors and marketing managers on departmental effortsCommitted to quality, improvement and promoting HDR valuesAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe:
