Oncology Office Coordinator (Jesup Office) (Part Time)

Responsible for assisting in daily operations of Wayne Oncology for Infusion therapy which includes a Medical Oncology provider office. The individual will perform patient and physician scheduling, front office duties including, but not limited to, patient registration, scheduling patients appointments needs, check-in and check­out, insurance verification, answering phone calls, and follow up activity on patient's accounts as well as routing phone calls and messages to the appropriate person in a timely manner, filing, accurate documentation of required information, and providing excellent customer service in a professional manner. Scans and enters documentation to EMR to substantiate patient treatment and claim submission. Will be required to cross over into all areas of the front office to provide appropriate assistance and perform tasks as needed.
Employee will be required to be readily available to work during any weather related incidents or other natural disasters and/or any emergency situation that may arise.
High school graduate or GED completionProficient knowledge of English and spelling The successful candidate must be familiar with medical terminology and routines; ability to interact effectively with people who have widely differing backgrounds; excellent oral and communication skills; knowledge of unit and hospital routines and functions sufficient to refer calls, visitors and records plus schedule medical tests and procedures. Good clerical skills including keyboarding are a must. Knowledge of word and basic computer skills as well as skill in operating office equipment is essential. Ability to interpret and write with accuracy and reasonable speed is also required.
