Open Rank (RWJMS Institute for Neurological Therapeutics)The Department of Neurology and the RWJMS Institute for Neurological Therapeutics (RINT) invite applications for tenure track faculty positions at all academic ranks to develop an innovative and interdisciplinary preclinical and translational research program in neurological diseases focused on neurodegenerative and neuroimmunologic disorders. Rank will be determined based on candidate's qualifications.
Current emphasis by the Neurology Department and Institute investigators includes Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, related dementias, and Multiple Sclerosis. Ample opportunities exist for collaborations with basic and clinical faculty at Rutgers-RWJMS and with investigators across Rutgers Health. An NIH funded T32 grant for Training in Translating Neuroscience to Therapeutics, led by the RINT director Dr. M. Maral Mouradian, supports eligible graduate students, MD/PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows. The laboratories are housed in a state-of-the-art research building located in the Piscataway, New Jersey campus. Rutgers provides competitive start-up packages and benefits.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience: Applicants must hold an MD or dual MD/PhD degrees in the Neurosciences, Neuroimmunology, Neurology, or relevant discipline, have at least 2 years of postdoctoral training, and a record of scholarly achievement (publications in peer-reviewed journals). Successful candidates will be expected to maintain a productive extramurally funded research program and contribute to the training of postdoctoral fellows, graduate, and undergraduate students.
