Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University invites applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty position(s) at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Senior level candidates with exceptional achievements and demonstrated impact will have the opportunity to be considered for the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering Foundation Professorship. Essential Responsibilities Develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program in the field of engineering education Engage in high-quality, evidence-based instruction in introductory undergraduate engineering courses (e.g., First-year and Sophomore Engineering Clinics) and graduate level courses in engineering education (e.g., Research Design in Engineering Education) Mentor Ph.D. students Develop innovative interdisciplinary projects, pedagogies, and new graduate electives Engage in service activities within the department, college, university, and professional organizations Contribute to a collaborative, interdisciplinary research community Foster a collegial and inclusive learning and working environment Required Qualifications A Ph.D. in Engineering Education, Engineering, or an equivalent field. Ph.D. must be conferred before appointment. A B.S. or M.S. degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent field Experience with engineering education research and a record of scholarly achievement in engineering education A commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds including women, students of color, LGBTQ students, first-generation to college students, students with disabilities, students with low socioeconomic status, and veterans. Candidates for Associate or Full Professor must have a track record of scholarly publications related to engineering education (including but not limited to peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings), a sustained externally funded research program, and substantial teaching experience.
