Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced OpenStack Admin with expertise in Linux for a remote position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with configuration management, automation tools, and cloud platforms, particularly OpenStack. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and container orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain OpenStack cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Utilize Ansible and Terraform for configuration management and automation tasks.
Implement and manage Ansible automation execution environments such as Ansible Tower or AWX.
Collaborate on the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Concourse and ArgoCD.
Administer and optimize Linux systems within the cloud infrastructure.
Work with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker to manage deployment and scaling of applications.
Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects, and resolve complex system issues.
Communicate and collaborate with technical teams and management to ensure smooth operations and project alignment.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5+ years of expert-level experience in Ansible.
Strong experience with configuration management and automation tools, specifically Ansible and Terraform.
Proven experience with Ansible Tower or AWX for automation execution.
In-depth knowledge of OpenStack cloud platform, particularly its API.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Concourse and ArgoCD.
Proficiency in using and managing DevOps toolchains and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker.
Extensive experience in Linux systems administration.
Ability to handle moderately complex tasks and resolve complex system problems.
Strong multitasking and task prioritization skills.
Excellent professional communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a cloud-native environment and familiarity with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation purposes.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols within cloud environments.
Certification in OpenStack, Ansible, or related technologies.
