Operating Engineer - Roundhouse - Full Time

The Operating Engineer performs operational and functional checks of Steam Trains, Disneyland Railroad track, and Mark Twain Riverboat, troubleshoot systems/equipment, perform installation, maintenance, and repair of systems/equipment, and conduct quality checks of completed work. Position provides direct support to Firers, Steam Engineers, and Operations teamsSkills/training/experience: journeyman operating engineer or maintenance machinist, Boiler Technician Class A or C, steam train or steam engine experience preferredBasic Qualifications : You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this roleDisney Behavior Respect for diversity Courteous Energetic (this position will require stamina because of constant moving about, standing, and equipment and tool use) Focus (mental concentration while working in an industrial environment) Adaptability (maybe required to stop/start tasks depending on priorities) Service Orientation Excellent communicator (express technical ideas, exchange information with engineers, consultants, management, and other cast members! Familiar with alignment of pumps and shaftsBe able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Be familiar with or have the ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System Communication Skills and Abilities Strong verbal skills required (able to converse with team members, management, and contractors) Ability to use handheld radios, mobile devices, and other communications equipmentAdditional Information : SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYOur Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off.
