Operating Room Nurse Manager We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to join our healthcare team in Santa Monica, CA. Salary: $165,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the nursing staff in delivering excellent care to patients and offering quality support to the medical staff.Ensure that the operational procedures in the operating room comply with hospital policies and standards of nursing practices.Coordinate and delegate responsibilities to staff to ensure proper patient care, efficiency and adherence to safety standards.Monitor and maintain adequate levels of supplies in the operating room; spearhead equipment procurements and maintenance.Maintain nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and collaborating with the nursing and hospital management teams.Prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures, and ensure the department operates within allocated funds.Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.Active Registered Nurse with a current California RN license.Current BLS certification and ACLS certification.At least 3 years of leadership experience in the operating room within an acute care hospital.Proven ability managing a diverse team and multitasking in a dynamic environment.Preferred Qualifications: CNOR and/or CPAN certification highly desirable.Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience specifically in a surgical setting.Skills: Leadership and managerial skills to effectively direct OR operations ensuring quality and patient safety.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive information and interact with various stakeholders.Decision-making and problem-solving skills to assess complex situations and quickly determine appropriate courses of action.Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and motivate the nursing team.Technical skills to manage modern medical equipment.Benefits: 401(k) with matching, Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insuranceFlexible scheduling, Employee discount, Flexible spending account, Vision insuranceTuition reimbursement, Paid time off, Referral program, Relocation assistance
