ABOUT THE ROLE Manager of Operations Support GLW is responsible for managing the operations support function for Holcim GLW ACM, which include: process improvement, pre-stripping, drilling & blasting, and plant and equipment maintenance. Partners with and provides strong support to key internal customers to improve operational efficiencies, costs and safety performance. Collaborates with operations leadership, engineering, mining planning and geology, procurement, finance, environmental, and safety teams, to support the design and establishment of best practices to enhance operations performance across the region.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Drives operational aspect of leadership model providing the support necessary for the operations team.Coordinates and guides operations support decisions to optimize plant productivity.Leads support functions to diagnose and solve key operational challenges.Best practices and standards on operating and maintaining, fixed, and mobile equipment.Clearinghouse for engineering projects requiring Capital approval.Lead coordination of 'deep dive' plant performance improvement reviews.With operations leaders, define key metrics and establish best practices for improved business results.Leads targeted opportunity search campaign efforts to improve operations performance and increase internal operational support capabilities.Identify and lead cross-functional teams to drive operational solutions and continuous improvement activities.Collaborates and coordinates with key support functions to include Procurement, Finance, Operations, Mining and Geology, and Safety, Health and Environmental to effectively identify project priorities and to identify, plan and complete projects with opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and SHE improvements.Participate in the evaluation of plant rebuild capital projects.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Education: Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Field of Study Preferred: BS in Mining, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
Required Work Experience: Minimum of five years progressively responsible work experience in operations and thorough understanding of the aggregates construction business.

Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
