Paid PTO DaysGeneral Purpose: Work directly with customers and company resources to provide timely, quality service and identify any problems or opportunities for improvement. Must be mechanically inclined and display aptitude to gain an understanding of the different parts, procedures, and needed trailer repairs and approximate length of time associated with these repairs Must be willing to safely climb in and out of trailers, move tires and other similar tasks as directed by Operations Manager Core Functions:

Responsible for filling out interchanges with correct rates, explaining rental policies and procedures, verifies credit and insurance, and obtains customer signature Responsible for inspecting interior and exterior of trailers (inbound and outbound) in the presence of the customer pointing out hub reading, emergency breakdown number and procedures, as well as the physical condition of the trailer inside and out Examines customer driver's license to determine validity of identification and that it is a CDL license Responsible for ensuring that TEN's policies and procedures for invoicing customers is followed properly- especially contacting customers regarding damages before they are invoiced Accepts trailers returned by customer and inspects tire, brakes, and looks over the physical condition of the trailer in the presence of the customer to determine any damage that may have occurred to the trailer while in the hands of the customer Responsible for performing shop workorder write-ups in TEN's system for trailers needing service when it enters the yard (foreign or TEN's units). Print out copy of write up and give to service manager within 30 minutes Responsible for getting estimates to customers within 48 hrs. of initiation (per request, inbound damages, etc.) and getting approval from customer within 96 hours from initiation. Will make sure workorder processor knows the approved estimated dollar amount Responsible for performing daily tire inventory and reconciliation as operations manager sees fit. Will accurately process tire inventory Purchase orders and receive into inventory with Part #'s marked on every tire Responsible for coordinating the daily activity of TEN's. equipment and personnel which include tractors and outside vendors used for delivery and pick-up of trailers and, when necessary, service vehicles that are used for routine maintenance and emergency repairs Responsible for keeping records of driver hours, and driver moves for insurance and accounting purposes Responsible for assisting Service and Operations Manager in keeping their location-based trailers at 90% current for PM's and reefer units 90% current Responsible for assisting Operation Manager regarding the maintenance and repair of all trailers at remote cities. Also, responsible for keeping those trailers at 90% current for PM's Responsible for assisting branch in maintaining the vendor list for each city TEN has trailers. This list should include company name, company address, two contacts, phone number, and hours of operation Responsible for maintaining clean operation office as well as designated areas within the facility Responsible for maintaining various operating efficiencies and benchmarks as determined by Operations Manager Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Operations Assistant position does not currently have a formal supervisory role Qualifications:
Associate's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Physical Demands:
