The team
The Operations Innovation Business Analyst role sits within Schroders' Operations Innovation Group. The group is responsible for driving digital transformation, intelligent automation and innovation within Schroders. The group engages and collaborates with Operations, Investment, Finance and Technology to identify, design, architect and deliver solutions to business teams. Once automated, the group is responsible for the ongoing support and optimisation of the digital workforce.

What you'll do
The Operations Innovation Business Analyst works closely with the business teams across Schroders to analyse and assist in the delivery of innovative technological solutions end-to-end and would ideally have some experience across technology skillsets (e.g. Python, Xceptor, OutSystems, GIT, C#, SQL/NoSQL, MS Power Platform) and platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP). The Operations Innovation Business Analyst will be required to:
Gather, understand and document user requirements in order to propose solution designs that can offer digital transformation with the goal of reducing manual overhead, mitigating risk and reducing costs for business teams;Develop, test and deliver technological solutions for business teams using industry leading toolsets;Assist with the support and enhancement of existing solutions;Investigate defects, suggest solutions to prevent recurrence and rectify bug-fixes. The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
• Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team structure, but also independently;
• Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders at different levels across the organisation;
• Ability to commit to and meet deadlines;
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
• An understanding of requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and business process modelling;
• Proficiency in data analysis, and additionally knowledge of programming, including scripting/coding e.g. Python, VBS, NoSQL/SQL, .NET (C#) or .NET framework application development;
• Familiarity with low/no-code toolsets (Xceptor/OutSystems/Power Platform);
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau);
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake);
• Understanding of Lean and Agile principles;
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking; carry out objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to make informed decisions.
