Meridian Blue Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager/Equipment Operator. As a Civil Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within our organization, specifically focusing on coordinating various tasks related to timesheet management, dispatch scheduling, crew coordination, interviews, employee development, and compliance. The attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the efficiency and success of our teams. Civil Operations Managers are responsible for managing cross-functional teams and reporting to Meridian Blue management, communicating to clients; and for ensuring Meridian Blue meets scope, schedule, cost and quality metrics for the project are met. Compensation Pay starts at $80,000/year and is negotiable and based on experience. Looking for individuals who are available to start immediately! Eligible for full-time benefits after 60 days.   Provide leadership to identify key success factors for civil crews. Define project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk, quality, and deliverables in collaboration with customers and Meridian Blue management Direct and manage project development from beginning to end Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion Forecast & Actualize Site Tracker Safely operate heavy equipment, including skid loaders, excavators., etc. Direct activities of crew and assist for electrical, civil and structural construction. Read and redline engineering drawings. Install Radio EQ, power plants and batteries. (indoor/outdoor sites) General telecommunications civil construction experience. Ability to work on and around electrical components (including but not limited to) wiring DC circuit, conduit installations, cabling, grounding and various connectors. Perform form setting and set layout. Ability to work independently under limited supervision while supervising 2-3 co-workers. Good organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. Responsible for a company providing vehicle, trailer, tools, equipment, and supplies. Must comply with and always enforce company and industry safety standards. Proven ability to operate excavation equipment. Ability to complete daily reports, JSAs, timesheets and other administrative duties Conducting site visits for various purposes, including safety inspections, team building, and training Managing JHA approvals and control plans Overseeing incident reporting and scheduling of UA as necessary Collaborating with HR on corrective action and dismissal procedures Supporting the MB training program Tracking certifications, training, and documentation for team members Acquiring necessary permissions, tooling, truck/trailer, and PPE for all team members Managing testing equipment tracking, transfers, and recalibrations in conjunction with safety protocols Collaborating closely with Facilities & Maintenance Manager on trucks and trailers maintenance and procurement Physical Requirements Ability to climb a ladder; Ability to lift up to 75lbs; Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, kneel and sit for extended periods of time; Ability to reach, climb, and/or grasp ladders or other tall structures; Operation of truck/heavy machinery; ability to distinguish basic colors, operation of power/hand tools, read documents & maps (in English); Ability to perform a variety of labor-intensive tasks, operate power, and hand tools; and Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions; this includes extreme temperatures (cold & heat) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. 5-7 years of wireless telecom civil division field supervision Prior experience in operations coordination or administrative roles. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly developed knowledge of project management skills, with the understanding of scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, resource, and deliverable management. Ability to manage multiple projects types simultaneously Effective communicator, written and oral with the ability to present to management Developed Financial knowledge, ability to define/track project/program financials such as budget, margin, invoicing, revenue recognition Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ADP, Hotel Engine, Chrome River, and Salesforce is a plus. Understanding of compliance regulations and safety protocols. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail. Determine and assess the need for additional consultants and/or subcontractor sand make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during the project cycle Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools Track project milestones and deliverables Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations Perform Risk Analysis for the project Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle Coach, Mentor, Motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project Conduct project reviews and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Collect best practices and tools for project execution and management. CDL Class A Driver's License Minnesota/Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate within 30 days of hire. Timesheet Management: Weekly timesheet approval every Monday by 12 pm. Daily handling of hour corrections for punch issues, with support from the Business Management Department. Daily/weekly time off approval, including verification and communication with project teams. Cross-referencing hours from Tracfax for accuracy. Oversight of manager and employee training completion and progress tracking. Dispatch and Crew Management: Updating and distributing dispatch schedules based on scheduling meetings every Friday. Incorporating any planned time off into the dispatch schedule. Regular updates to the crew chart and cross-referencing it with the dispatch schedule. Coordination of daily dispatch calls at 7 am. Collaborating with Foremen on hotel bookings and scheduling. Interview Coordination: Conducting interviews for new candidates. Utilizing JazzHR as the primary platform for communication. Collaborating with Derek and Alicia for divisional growth initiatives and new hire requisitions. Employee Development and Performance Management: Implementing Performance Improvement Plans for identified employees. Conducting ongoing employee training and development sessions. Facilitating biannual performance reviews. Ensuring seamless onboarding for new hires, including checklist completion and logistics coordination. Coordinating DOT Med Certs scheduling for employees. Addressing performance issues in collaboration with project teams and Foremen. Physical Requirements
