Old Dominion Freight Line is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our OD Family Culture. Our manager will successfully direct and manage supervisors and all other staff and crew to productively handle workload. Responsible for hiring of hourly employees, dock, and drivers. On-going processing of claims prevention and training. Responsible for scheduling of, direction of, and preparing for monthly dock and driver meetings. Accountable for daily monitoring of production, load average, and the overall service and efficiency of the shift they are assigned to.
Responsibilities: Staff to goal to meet volume of workloadProvide direct leadership to service center supervisory staffManage daily operations and ensure maximum service center efficiencyFocus on load plans from origin, monitoring cause and effectConduct safety and claims meetings with all staffWork continually to develop and improve service center staffAchieve and maintain goals set by the company and Service Center ManagerMonitor results of each supervisor and provide feedback and coaching as neededTrack and verify service center maintenance is completedQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required5 years working experience as a driver supervisor or in operationsWorking knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systemsKnowledge of general DOT regulationsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsCompensation Range: The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level. ($93,646-$117,057)
