Operations Manager Video Engineering We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our IT team, specializing in video engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management, with a focus on optimizing processes and ensuring the smooth functioning of video engineering projects. Location – Denver, CO Key Responsibilities: · Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the video engineering department, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation. · Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. · Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of video engineers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. · Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. · Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all video engineering outputs meet the highest standards. · Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations. · Reporting: Provide regular operational reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement. · Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: 6+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within the IT or video engineering sectors. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with video engineering technologies and software. Proficiency in operations management tools and software. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a track record of successful operational management. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with cloud-based video processing and streaming technologies. · Knowledge of video compression standards and codecs. · Certification in Operations Management or a related field. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 1/10/2025. The annual salary for this position is between $60,325.00 to $109,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
