### Job Overview
Calpine is a leading energy provider, committed to generating clean, reliable energy. We are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Operations Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will be primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while collaborating with various teams to enhance our operational efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires strong leadership and analytical skills to oversee daily operations and drive continuous improvement strategies.

### Key Responsibilities

- **Strategic Planning:** Develop and implement operational strategies that align with Calpine's overall business goals and objectives. Conduct thorough analysis to identify areas for improvement and innovation within operations.

- **Team Leadership:** Lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with company values.

- **Performance Monitoring:** Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate operational performance. Use data analysis to monitor progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

- **Process Improvement:** Conduct assessments of existing operational processes and workflows. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.

- **Project Management:** Oversee various projects from initiation through completion. Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- **Reporting and Analysis:** Prepare detailed reports for senior management that provide insights into operational performance, project statuses, and resource allocation. Make recommendations based on data analysis findings.

- **Training and Development:** Identify training needs within the team and provide or facilitate appropriate training programs to enhance skills and performance.

- **Budget Management:** Assist in the preparation and management of the operational budget. Monitor expenditures and suggest cost-saving measures while maintaining service quality.

- **Vendor Management:** Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing relationships to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with contracts.

### Requirements

**Education:**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (such as PMP or Six Sigma) is a plus.

**Experience:**
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management or related field, preferably in the energy or utility sectors.

- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
