Position Overview:
Siemens is adding an Operations Project Manager to our innovative Passenger Coach production team! This key role will be instrumental in who coordinating activities between manufacturing departments and support functions, ensuring we meet project quality, delivery, and cost targets.
This individual will be the single point of contact and coordinator between operations and the project team(s) on specific Passenger Coach projects. As the Operations Project manager, you will be a conduit between the manufacturing floor and the support functions within the business to break down barriers, reduce friction, and accelerate solutions. A successful candidate for this position is hands-on and positive minded person.
This is a dynamic role where no two days will be the same. We are looking for a passionate and detailed oriented person who thrives on challenges and enjoys solving hard problems. This role requires strong influencing skills to work across a matrix organization with stakeholders from across the business in roles from Production Departments, Supplier Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, and Project Management. In this role you will also work to proactively identify bottlenecks and constraints for production of your project, and work with cross-functional team to deploy countermeasures and mitigations to keep the project on track.
What you need to be successful:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline
5 years of experience in manufacturing management, industrial engineering, or project management
Experience implementing changes in a manufacturing environment to improve safety, quality, schedule and cost
Effective coaching, leadership, communication and team-building skills for hourly workforce
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and evaluate parts against drawings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
We would be impressed if you have:
5+ years of experience in rolling stock or capital equipment manufacturing
Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including mechanical and electrical assembly
Experience in Siemens Production System or equivalent Lean manufacturing
Experience with SAP or similar MRP system

The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $119,000- $150,000 per year and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
