**We work only on W2, we do not work on C2C or we do not provide sponsorship, kindly do not apply if you are not able to meet the mentioned criteria, thank you for understanding** Job Title: Research Operations Specialist Workstream: UXR Survey Operations Location: Portland, OR 97201 Duration: 6+ months contract with potential extension The UX research operations team at eBay consists of a cross-functional mix of researchers, engineers, data scientists, and recruiters, all working together to build advanced in-house research systems, which in turn enable the product teams and designers we serve to build advanced features for the eBay website and mobile apps. UX Research sits within the Design and Product org at eBay, which is an eclectic and smart group of makers and doers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide order and structure to our team's processes and documentation, and to ensure that the many hundreds of global research studies we do every year are tracked and policy compliant.
What you will accomplish: Serve as the scrum master for our engineering team, ensuring that work sprints proceed orderly with proper documentation. Create systems and processes for keeping track of all of our global survey work at eBay, ensuring everything is organized, documented, and policy compliant. Work with internal teams like InfoSec, Legal, and Procurement to advance our processes and track approvals. Field inbound requests for new survey projects and route them to the appropriate person. Work with product teams on onboarding and education as they navigate our research systems. Engage in light project management and vendor management tasks as needed. What you will bring: Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years in a similar role within a tech, analytics, or research department. Expert Jira and Excel skills, solid experience with Airtable, Monday.com, or similar productivity tools and/or a willingness to teach yourself new tools are a big plus. Extreme attention to detail, diligence in task completion, and a determined persistence to see difficult projects through to completion. Enthusiastic self-starter willing to operate in a large and bureaucratic company with little structure or process yet provide structure and process as you progress through it. Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods is a big plus. This is a hybrid role which means you may work remotely two days per week, but must be present in the eBay office three days per week, on average.
