Req. ID : 23880 PURPOSE: This person will be responsible for machining, milling, and grinding operations. This position will report directly to the Lab Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES): Set up and operate a wide variety of shop equipment Machine complicated parts to very close tolerance Report problems to the Lab Manager BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must have a basic education with the ability to read, write, and understand written specifications and procedures Must have the ability to design and execute from verbal instructions Must have excellent mechanical aptitude Must be able to use various measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators etc.) Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine speeds and feed rates Must be proficient in the use of: Lathes Milling Machines Grinders Jig Mills Drill Presses Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, protected veteran status or disability.
