Description
Administers, oversees, and supports the Company's activities, especially at the assigned office by being a role model for excellence in quality care, customer satisfaction, and quality improvement.
Performs an extensive number of data collection functions as delegated by the physician to allow for proper professional diagnosis of patients' conditions.
Essential Functions Responsible for assisting with supervising all technicians at the assigned location to ensure that the practice and/or office operate in an efficient manner and that the patients receive high-quality customer and clinical service
Responsible for maintaining staff schedules prepared by the Ophthalmic Technician Manager to ensure adequate coverage and effective utilization of staff
Ensure that the employees have completed required assignments
Responsible for providing training to the employees in order to cross-train on double duties
Assist the technicians at the assigned location office when indicated in identifying and solving problems
Support established policies and procedures of the practice and interpret them to the technicians at the assigned location Office
Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences
Responsible to display an attitude of respect and courtesy toward all patients, visitors/physicians, and coworkers
Provide support to clinical staff with less advanced credentials
Responsible for Clinic monthly supply ordering
Perform all other designated duties as directed by the Ophthalmic Technician Manager, Medical Director, and/or Practice Administrator
Requirements
Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Two to four years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or in a healthcare environment
Demonstrated comprehension of ophthalmic technician skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solver, with analytical skills
Personable and empathetic with patient's needs and concerns
Well-organized with attention to detail
Ability to work as a team member
Demonstrated comprehension of the principles of optics and refraction
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive work-ups on 4 patients per hour
Demonstrated computer literacy
Preferred Skills Training as an accredited Ophthalmic Technician
Leadership experience

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.
Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
