About KEI Ophthalmology Clinic in Irving, TX is seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist to join our innovative team!

Dr. Kuriachan takes a conservative and educative approach to care, taking the time to answer every patient's questions and working with them to find the best treatment plan for their eyes, vision, or aesthetics needs.
We are a small 1 MD / 1 OD practice that provides excellent financial stability, flexibility, and work-life balance to our team.

Job Title Ophthalmologist (MD or DO)

Job Description The Ophthalmologist is a licensed, certified medical practitioner trained to diagnose and evaluate all eye and visual problems and provide the best treatment medically, surgically, or both.

Essential Skills and Functions Clinical Performs a broad range of services including, but not limited to the following:Comprehensive eye exams to evaluate diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, etc.Diagnosing, treating, and managing ocular conditions with both medication and surgery.Performing surgeries such as cataract surgery, pterygium removal, and other surgeries per your interest.Performing in office minor procedures such as lesion removals and laser procedures such as SLT and YAG.Patient education.Knowledge of current clinical practices and standards.Document encounters appropriately in EMR system.Maintain current knowledge of eye procedures and treatment, including participating in professional development activities and maintaining professional affiliations.Performs follow-up visits with patients both pre and post-operatively.Treats staff and patients with kindness and respect.Be the clinical authority when technician or OD have questions about patient care. Teamwork Ability to work effectively with other team members including:PhysicianOptometristStaffClinic ManagementOutside Business PartnersCommunicate effectively with team members, patients, and patient family members.Maintain confidentiality of patient information, following strict security and HIPAA regulations.Adaptable with performing tech duties when necessary due to the office having a small team such as working up a patient, performing visual fields, or OCTs, etc. Qualifications Medical Degree from Accredited Medical or Osteopathic School (MD or DO).Ophthalmology Residency from accredited ACGME Residency Program.Current Texas licensure.BLS Certification. Ideal Candidate: Highly motivated and organized.Able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks.Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record systems.Comfortable with using various methods of technology, specifically navigating an EMR on an iPad.Fluent in English.Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations.Ability to exercise high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making.Exceptional leadership and development skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills. Years of Experience New Grads Welcome.

Job Type Full-time.

Salary Based on experience.

Schedule 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work to 75039 (Required).
