SECTION 1 : Job Summary As an Esthetician within Eyecare Partners, you will work directly with the Doctor and patient to evaluate a patients skin condition and offer recommendations to improve eye care through skin care products and treatments.
Additionally, you may recommend, consult or perform treatments related to skin care and maintaining the health of the eye and surrounding area.
SECTION 2 : Duties and Responsibilities Provides evaluation of skin condition and recommends skin care products and service s related to safe eye care Demonstrates professionalism during interactions with patients, coworkers, and vendors Performs all State Board-approved services as defined by company, such as facials, chemical peels, silk peels, waxing, brow/lash tints, make up application, laser hair removal, IPL, IR, Dermal Genesis, etc.
Gives quarterly report on products sold and remaining inventory and maintains product inventory Assists with informational seminars Maintains records of patient visits, which include history, examination and treatments along with photos when necessary Adheres to all policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization SECTION 3 : Patient Population Served Team members will work with patients of all ages, races, and genders SECTION 4 : Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Esthetician license required SECTION 5 : Experience Requirements Previous medical office experience preferred Previous optical experience strongly preferred Basic knowledge of computer systems and applications required SECTION 6 : Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements Favorable result on background check required Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States Professional in appearance and actions Logical and Critical thinking skills Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills Enjoys learning new technologies and systems Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable Exhibits a positive attitude and is flexible in accepting work assignments and priorities Meets attendance and tardiness expectations Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support need Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Ability for basic to intermediate problem solving, including mathematics Basic to intermediate computer operation Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines SECTION 7 : Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Location: Work takes place in an ophthalmic/office environment.
Travel to other locations may be necessary to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
Exposure: Works in optical/office environment.
This position requires working various hours, as the office may have extended hours or be open on Saturday.
May be exposed to blood or bodily fluids.
May also be exposed to various cleaning supplies.
Equipment: Must be able to work with precise tools and equipment; must have dexterity to use these items correctly and safely.
