Responsibilities
• Ensure high quality patient care• Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance• Understand ocular terminology and diseases• Explain preliminary examinations to patients• Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings• Perform exam pre-screening• Review prescriptions and patient information• Consult with the optician, Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment
Requirements
• Previous retail/optical experience preferred• Strong customer service skills• Ability to learn optical knowledge• Effective interpersonal skills• Excellent organizational skills• Detail oriented• Multitasking and time-management skills• Professional attitude and appearance
