Responsibilities
• Assist the optometrist in providing patient care• Perform tests and maintain equipment• Manage patient records• Prepare patients to be seen by collecting and recording clinical information• Respond to patient phone calls and document interactions• Perform preliminary tests and take medical histories• Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up visits• Clean and maintain equipment and instruments• Adhere to patient safety standards and infection control guidelines• Assist care team to ensure smooth office operation and excellent service
Requirements
• Experience with electronic health records• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment• Excellent multitasking, organization, and time management skills• Ability to communicate and utilize necessary equipment• High School Diploma or equivalent• Certified Optometric Technician is a plus• Experience in an optometry office preferred but not necessary• BLS Certification
