Rome's historical markers help document the city's history and give insight into the culturally rich heritage. Population - 36,332 (2019 census) Developed a regional center for the fields of medical care and education. In addition to its public-school system, it has several private schools. Higher-level educational institutions include private Berry College and Shorter University, and the public Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Highlands College. Largest city near the center of the triangular area defined by the Interstate highways between Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, and Chattanooga, TN. The role you'll contribute: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Human Resource Management – Monitors performance of the staff and takes corrective action for improvement as appropriate. Financial Management – Understands health care economics, public policy, and finance as it pertains to the delivery of patient care. Performance Improvement – Demonstrates familiarity with the performance improvement model of the organization. Critical Thinking/Technology – Utilizes critical-thinking skills in the performance of their duties. Leadership and Clinical Practice Knowledge – Provides leadership for the effective and efficient operation of the Operating Room. Communication and Relationship Building – Utilizes relationships in influencing behaviors on the unit. Professionalism – Demonstrates a professional persona in their work. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Demonstrates Human Resource Management competencies. Demonstrates Financial Management competencies. Demonstrates the ability to implement and lead Performance Improvement initiatives on assigned unit. Demonstrates the ability to Think Critically and Utilize Technology in relation to the operations of the unit and delivery of patient care. Demonstrates Leadership and Clinical Practice Knowledge. Demonstrates good Communication and Relationship Building skills. Acts as a role model for Professionalism within the organization. Demonstrates clinical mastery within the OR suite. Current BLS or obtain BLS upon completion of orientation. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required at time of hire or enrollment in BSN program within 1 year of hire. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) highly preferred. Professional certification from a national organization. Prior management experience. 5 years of OR experience. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Current registration with the Georgia State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse.
