Job Description:

Expedites, directs, and manages the efficient flow of the elective OR schedule in collaboration with the Anesthesia Floor Manager.  Monitors STAT procedures booked, assuring cases are appropriately dispersed throughout the operative schedule in a timely manner, while maintaining a global view, open communication and collaboration with Nurse Managers (or designee), Dept of Anesthesia, Surgeons, and other interdepartmental resources such as Bed Management, the Nursing Coordinator, Center 8, JB4 Ambulatory Surgery Center Preop and PACU, and other Nursing units, Physician's Office, Radiology, Cath Lab, EP Lab, and the Emergency Dept.  Provides oversight to the PAA role at the main OR desk.  Reports to Director of Professional Practice.
Qualifications
Current CT RN License required.  Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. 
Minimum 5 years OR nursing experience required.
