Orthodontic Assistant (Bilingual) Traveling

Orthodontic Assistant - Traveling POSITION OVERVIEW: The Orthodontic Assistant will support doctors during treatment exams and all necessary functions. RDAs are responsible for performing all duties of a Registered Dental Assistant while providing quality customer service and maintaining a professional relationship and positive attitude with co-workers and patients alike.
This position will be responsible for and do the following: Greet and prepare patients for dental careAssist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in any treatment of patientsExcellent communication skillsMust anticipate the orthodontist's needs and be prepared for the next stepsRemoval and placement of arch wiresTooth preparation prior to bondingAccurate computer chartingSterilization of chairs and instrumentsResponsible for oral hygiene instructionsPlacement and removal of bracketsTake panoramic and cephalometric x-rays as well as oral photographsUndertake lab tasks as instructed
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum high school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of dental terminology and dental proceduresFamiliar with SterilizationFamiliar with OSHA guidelines and proceduresExperience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferredPrevious experience required
