We are a dynamic, growing cooperative with more than 800 employees operating out of eight office locations.  JOB SUMMARY: NRTC Broadband Solutions is looking for OSP Inspector to join our growing team.  The NRTC Broadband Solutions OSP Inspector is responsible for ensuring that units placed by contractors are placed and recorded accurately as according to the design plans.  The position requires working outside in all types of weather (extreme cold, heat, wind).   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to follow OSHA/State/Local Safety StandardsRecord daily activities in construction inspector journalIdentify unsafe actions performed by contractor, record/report to crew SupervisorProvide guidance on engineered construction printsGenerate As-Built records, by hand or digital formatIdentify and record deficienciesEffectively communicate corrective actions to subcontractorEffectively communicate with lessor experienced inspectorsReview/Correct traffic control patterns, signs, flagmenUnderstanding of required PPEAs-BuiltsRecord units placedRecord deviations from engineered plansRecord pertinent notes as related to construction events· DeficienciesRecognize, record and report deficiencies to construction supervisorInspection of deficiencies reported to be completeSubcontractor CommunicationCommunicate verbally and in writing, necessary corrective actions and provide potential resolutions to avoid similar situations in the futureOther related duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GEDGenerally, 1-3 related years of experienceSpecialized training includes construction experience or OSP engineeringSKILLS AND ABILITIES: Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office & SmartSheet productsExcellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications skills.Strong command of RUS construction standardsAbove average skills in verbal communicationDemonstrated ability to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to interact in a positive manner with internal and external customers.
