Salary Range: $26.13 - $32.14/Hour

**APPLICANT MUST HAVE A VALID, UNRESTRICTED INSURABLE DRIVER'S LICENSE** ** RESUME AND REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED** ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
Confers with clients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most helpful.
Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body.
Administer therapy treatment to clients using hands or physical treatment aids.
Maintains treatment records.
Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
Assess physical condition of employee to aid in diagnosis or treatment.
Treats clients/employees in professional settings; travel to clients' workstation or wellness center.
Provides clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvements and stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercise.
Provides 15-90 minute massage therapy sessions to FDIHB employees.
Develops and proposes client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be obtained.
Evaluates clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body.
Makes recommendations to clients if other types of therapy are recommended.
Prepares and blends oils and apply the blends to clients' skin.
Administer therapy treatment to patients using hands or physical treatment aids.
Performs general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs, and moving your whole body, in relation to conducting a massage with a client.
The use of your hands, fingers, forearms, and elbows to knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.
Participates in department quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
Defers all matters to Employee Wellness Coordinator that are beyond scope of work of the Employee Massage Therapist.
Performs general maintenance duties including, but not limited to, cleaning massage equipment and restocking supplies on a regular basis.
Provides assistance with employee based planning teams, committees, or coalitions including areas of FDIHB worksite, in planning Wellness and massage fitness education.
Implements other duties pertinent to position as assigned from time to time to meet department objectives and obligations, or to improve the level of quality of services.
Works with moderate degree of independence; must be able to exercise independent professional judgement.
Adheres to HIPAA, Privacy Act and corporate policy requirements when dealing with all patient records or any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Models healthy behaviors while in the public eye.
Works collaboratively to meet the Wellness Department goals.
Obtains health/medical history, medical clearance and informed consent forms from client.
Documents clients' conditions and progress.
Participates in continuous evaluation of programs and services.
Stays up-to-date with the latest wellness and massage techniques and modalities.
Establishes and maintains professional relationship with the public and FDIHB Staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Two (2) years of direct work experience providing corporate massage or community massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).


Education: Certificate of completion from an accredited Massage Therapy School.


Current, valid and unrestricted Massage Therapist License in any U.S. State.
